FORT COLLINS, Colo. - On the final weekend before the CU game, the Rams held their third full scrimmage of the season Saturday at Hughes Stadium. Continuing to work through every situation and phase the Rams might be presented with during the season, the game simulation showcased the offense and defense, despite no live contact.

Cycling through 131 plays over the 2-hour, 20-minute scrimmage, the practice was the longest of fall camp and only involved thud contact. With coaches in the press box and a full crew of officials, the simulation included a full pregame warmup, a first and second half, and a short halftime period.

One goal for the mock game was to challenge Billy Farris to start fast and begin game-like situations with more authority. According to Head Coach Steve Fairchild, the senior QB responded well. Splitting the majority of snaps with Klay Kubiak, Farris' highlight came when he connected with junior Rashaun Greer for a 47-yard TD reception.

Intercepting pass attempts from backup Kubiak were Nick Oppenneer and Kubiak's older brother, Klint.

The team will not hold practice Sunday or Monday, the first day of classes. The squad returns to the field Tuesday as it takes part in one of four practices scheduled for the week. The others will take place Wednesday through Friday.
