Aug. 10, 2012
FORT COLLINS, Colo.-- Colorado State University students still have two weeks to take advantage of reduced ticket prices for this year's Cinch Jeans Rocky Mountain Showdown vs. rival Colorado. The deadline for the special price plan is Friday, Aug. 24, but students are encouraged to act now and make their purchases before the rush of sales during the first week of school.
Student tickets went on sale July 16 for the annual battle vs. the Buffaloes, scheduled for Sept. 1, 2012 at 2 p.m., at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. It will be the Rams' first game of their "Bold New Era" under head coach Jim McElwain. Students may still purchase tickets after the Aug. 24 deadline, but at regular prices.
How to purchase student tickets to CU game
Student tickets to the showdown are available exclusively through CSURams.com. The purchasing link for fast and easy online purchase can be accessed on the student ticket page.
Students are required to set up a student user account before purchasing tickets. Students who purchased tickets last year don't need to create a new account, and should just enter their current, valid student identification number. Only full-time, full-fee-paying students are allowed to purchase tickets.
In setting up a user account, students are strongly cautioned to identify themselves as a student, and not a member of the general public. If students register as general public, like many students last year, they will significantly delay the processing of their orders and won't be able to guarantee their seats at the game. There are approximately 10,000 seats in CSU student sections at Sports Authority Field. Student should be very careful not to buy public tickets by mistake.
Students who wish to purchase a guest ticket for a non-CSU student can do so for $65 (price includes a $5 fee). Those guest tickets will be assigned to the purchasing student's zone so the guest can sit next to the student in general-admission seating.
Prices and fees
Student tickets to the CU game are $30. Guest tickets in the CSU section are $65. Both prices include a $5 service fee.
Ram Road Trip
Ram Road Trip is round-trip transportation to the CU game provided by ASCSU with the assistance of Super Shuttle. The buses will leave campus early enough for fans to enjoy the pregame festivities before kickoff at 2 p.m. CSU student bus tickets are $15 each and must be purchased with a CU game ticket. CSU student bus tickets are available as an add-on when purchasing Cinch Jeans Rocky Mountain Showdown tickets online. After purchasing game tickets, students should click "continue shopping" to add the bus ticket. The bus ticket includes snacks. Space is limited.
All student and student-guest tickets to the CU game will be printed at home. Students should save their confirmation numbers at the time of purchase. Beginning in mid-August, Denver Broncos officials will email students a link to print their game tickets. Students need to be sure the email address they register their account with is accurate to ensure delivery of their tickets.
All CSU student customers will receive general-admission tickets assigned to one of three zones in the Rams' student sections at Sports Authority Field. Those who purchase first will be placed in the lower-field-level zone. Once that zone sells out, student customers will be placed in an upper-field-level zone. The last to purchase will be placed in an upper-bowl zone.
Student tickets to home games in Fort Collins
CSU students with a valid university student ID receive one free ticket to all CSU home athletics events. CSU students must show their student ID when picking up tickets at the McGraw Center ticket office or the Lory Student Center box office. Student tickets are not available at the stadium prior to the game.
CSU students may pick up their ticket at the athletics ticket office (located on the first floor of the McGraw Athletic Center) beginning the Monday before each home football game. Student tickets also are available on campus at the Lory Student Center. Students are encouraged to pick up their tickets early, as they are distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. The student section is the east grandstand, along the Rams' home sideline, and seating is general admission.
Students wishing to bring a guest that is not a CSU student may purchase a $25 general-admission student-section ticket.
