FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Monday was a busy day for the Rams as they had Media Day and the third practice of fall camp.
Media Day kicked off at 8:30 a.m. with player interviews. Print media and television from all across the Front Range met with ten players in total, as well as Head Coach Jim McElwain, co-defensive coordinators Al Simmons and Marty English and offensive coordinator Dave Baldwin.
Ram fans can find a full transcript from Media Day here.
During this time players filmed hype-up videos and moving headshots for the stadium and took still headshots.
In mid-morning the team bused to Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium for a team photo.
By 2:15 p.m. the Rams were suited up in shoulder pads and back on the practice field south of Moby Arena.
Monday’s two-hour practice, which featured appearances from the wind and rain, had its usual ups-and-downs for the third practice, but overall McElwain was pleased with how the team recovered from the unevenness.
“We started off a little slow today,” McElwain said. “But I was really kind of happy with how we finished practice.”
Rising intensity was noticeable and it will continue to grow as the Rams get closer to putting on full pads on Aug. 8.
The Rams will be back on the field Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.
