Excitement is running high for the first season of Rams football played on campus since 1967. Colorado State has played its home games at the off-campus Hughes Stadium for the past 49 seasons. The stadium also will be home to the new home of the CSU Alumni Association, the Iris & Michael Smith Alumni Center, as well as general classroom space and the Collaborative for Student Achievement.

The 2017 Colorado State Rams, under the direction of third-year head coach Mike Bobo, return 15 starters including three 2016 All-Mountain West performers: Wide receiver Michael Gallup (first team), center Jake Bennett (second team) and quarterback Nick Stevens (honorable mention). Bennett was recently named to the watch list for the 2017 Rimington Trophy, awarded annually to the nation's top center. The trio also joined nine other teammates in receiving preseason All-MW recognition for 2017 by Athlon Sports.

Mini-plan pricing starts at $94, depending on the games chosen for a particular three-game plan. Packages that include the grand-opening game vs. Oregon State or the Rocky Mountain Showdown will see an additional cost based on the single-game pricing for those contests. For more information, please consult the 2017 Colorado State Football ticket pricing chart.

Colorado State is planning numerous special events and promotions to commemorate the first football game played on campus in nearly 50 years. Military Appreciation Day will highlight the inaugural game, with numerous tributes and salutes to the men and women who serve and have served in our armed forces. A giant American flag that covers the entire football field will be displayed during the national anthem.

Fans also will enjoy taking part in the "Stripe the Stadium" promotion, in which they will be encouraged to wear either green or white, alternating by section, to create green and white vertical stripes throughout the stadium bowl. A gigapixel photo will be taken by Blakeway Panorama, which fans can access online to locate and tag themselves in the digital image. In addition, fans will be able to purchase a panoramic photo of the stadium in the days following the game.

Single-game tickets to the Rocky Mountain Showdown may be purchased beginning July 12. Single-game tickets for all games will begin with an exclusive pre-sale opportunity July 24 for alumni, faculty, staff and donors, and to all on July 26.

In preparation for the inaugural season at the on-campus stadium, the Colorado State athletics department has launched a special football gameday website, which provides in-depth information on everything from tickets to parking, tailgating, gameday logistics and much more. The website can be found at www.CSURams.com/footballgameday.
