FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Treyous Jarrells, a 5-foot-9, 190-pound running back from Lake Mary, Fla., will join the Colorado State football team for the 2014 season. Jarrells comes to CSU from Grossmont College in El Cajon, Calif., where he was the team’s leading rusher in 2013.
Jarrells, who initially signed with Wofford before attending Grossmont, comes to Fort Collins after rushing for 1,139 yards and 15 touchdowns last season. As a senior at Lake Mary High School, he rushed for 1,080 yards and 14 touchdowns in only eight games. After that season, Jarrells earned first-team All-District 2 and All-Florida honorable mention honors.
Jarrells chose CSU over offers from Alabama-Birmingham, Idaho State and South Alabama.
The Rams completed their spring camp last Saturday with their annual Green and Gold Spring Game, and will report for fall camp Sunday, Aug. 3.
