FORT COLLINS, Colo. — The Colorado State football team’s annual Green and Gold Spring Game, presented by UCHealth and McDonald's, will kick off at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, on campus at the Lagoon Field, and will be one of four home events for Rams teams that day. The CSU Department of Athletics has created a Spring Sports Festival around the four events and encourages fans to attend parts of all four to earn special prizes. Admission is free to each event.
The day’s events begin with the men’s and women’s track and field teams hosting the Jack Christiansen Invitational. Field events begin at 9 a.m., running events at 11.
- 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.—Men’s & Women’s Track & Field, Jack Christiansen Invitational (Jack Christiansen Track)
- 10:30 a.m.—Women’s Soccer, spring scrimmage vs. CSU-Pueblo (Lagoon Field)
- 12 p.m.—Women’s Softball, vs. UNLV (Ram Field)
- 1 p.m.—Football, Green & Gold Spring Game (Lagoon Field)
Fans are encouraged to park in the following campus lots at no charge: Moby Arena, Lory Student Center, Morgan Library, the Lake Street Garage and the South College Garage. As will be the case when the on-campus stadium opens this fall, parking for events is not permitted in the surrounding neighborhoods.
All fans can pick up a Spring Sports Festival Passport for free by visiting the marketing table at any of the events, and then receive a specific sticker at each event to document their attendance. Once a passport has been filled with all four stickers, it may be shown at the marketing table at any of the events to be entered into a raffle to win various prizes. Some of the prizes include a CSU sideline pullover, CSU jacket, $100 Under Armour gift card, four tickets for the Homecoming football game vs. Nevada, four tickets to volleyball’s premier match, a CSU fight song banner and many more. The softball team also will be commemorating Earth Day with a free water bottle giveaway. Following the football game, players will sign autographs on the field.
Ram Field is located just south of Moby Arena, in closest proximity to the Moby Arena parking lot. The Lagoon Field, labeled as Field 12 on the attached map, is situated between the Moby Lot and the Lory Student Center parking lot. Jack Christiansen Track is located just north of the South College Garage.
For the Green and Gold Spring Game, fan seating will be on the west side only, with the team occupying the east sideline. Spectators may sit on the berm that borders the west side of the field, along Meridian Ave., or in the available bleacher seating. Ram Town will be set up in the area north of the Lagoon Field, featuring inflatables and entertainment for families.
The Green and Gold Spring Game will be broadcast on the Rams' flagship radio home, Rock 102.9 FM and on Mile High Sports Radio 1340 AM/104.7 FM. Voice of the Rams Brian Roth and analyst Mark Driscoll will be joined by Marty Cesario on the sidelines. The broadcast begins at 12:45 p.m.
