FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Colorado State this week is beginning to mail football season-ticket renewal postcards for the 2011 season. Not only will CSU season-ticket holders pay the same amount for football in 2011, they'll also get Boise State for free.
The athletic department announced last month that season-ticket prices will not change from what they were in 2010, when the package included six games - five in Fort Collins and the Cinch Jeans Rocky Mountain Showdown against CU in Denver.
But this year, the package contains seven games, with an attractive bonus: Heisman Trophy candidate Kellen Moore and the 12-1 Broncos, which finished No. 7 in the 2011 coaches poll after dismantling then-No. 19 Utah in the MAACO Bowl Las Vegas. That seven-game package, including the annual clash with the Buffs at Invesco Field, is the same price as last year.
Other 2011 home games include both Front Range rivals, Wyoming and Air Force, as well as San Diego State (the nation's No. 16 offense in 2010) and non-conference foes Northern Colorado and San Jose State.
The showdown with CU is two weeks later this year, on Sept. 17, due to prior scheduling commitments. At this time, the only other known dates are the Ag Day Orange Out with UNC (Sept. 10) and San Jose State (Oct. 1). The Mountain West Conference generally releases its full schedule complete with kickoff times in April.
Lower-bowl seating at Invesco Field
Ram Club members are guaranteed lower-bowl seats for the Cinch Jeans Rocky Mountain Showdown against the Buffs in Denver. Ram Club members have access, not only to the best seats at Invesco Field, but also at Hughes Stadium.
Ram Club membership is very affordable, starting at just $100 per year, with various convenient payment options including monthly installments. The Ram Club, with 2,185 members nationwide, plays a critical role by helping fund student-athlete scholarships. To learn more about the benefits of Ram Club membership, visit the csuramclub.com or call 970/491-4666.
Premium seating/suites at Invesco, Hughes
Premium seating and suites are available for the CSU vs. CU game in Denver, as well as at Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium. For additional information about premium seating, please call 970/491-4666.
Pricing and purchase options
There are no hidden fees when purchasing CSU season tickets. The only fee per season-ticket order, which covers processing, handling and postage, is $15. The Rams also offer several season-ticket options:
|Sections A, B, H, I (No Ram Club donation; bleacher)||$225|
|Sections C, G (minimum $100 Ram Club donation; bleacher)||$225|
|Sections D, E, F (minimum $350 Ram Club donation; chairback)||$225|
|^North End Zone||$125|
|^*Youth/North End Zone||$60|
|^+Early Bird Family Plan||$280|
|*--Age 17 and younger|
|+--Includes 4 tickets (2 adult, 2 youth) to 5 Fort Collins games; does not include CU game; purchasing window March 1-April 30; north end zone|
|^--Does not include tickets to CSU-CU game; tickets to that game available for purchase by season-ticket holders|
In an effort to make purchasing season tickets easier for fans in today's economy, CSU again is offering payment plans, allowing fans to pay for season tickets in equal installments.
Like last year, fans will be able to spread their payment for season tickets over the spring and summer, depending on date of purchase.
Depending on date of purchase, fans can authorize CSU athletics to charge their MasterCard or Visa in equal monthly installments until the balance is paid.
Fans need to have their balance paid in full by Friday, July 29th, in order to receive their season tickets.
New season-ticket holders
For fans that didn't purchase season tickets in 2010 but plan to in 2011, orders can be placed now.
Fans are able to purchase tickets online at CSURams.com, over the phone by calling 1-800/491-RAMS, or by visiting the McGraw Athletic Center ticket office during normal business hours. Seat location will not be determined until after the renewal deadline has passed. Seat locations will be assigned in June.
Purchasing season tickets before the renewal deadline will place fans on a priority seating list. Seat location priority will first be given to Ram Club members (based on Ram Points), then to other orders as they are received.
Early renewals for 2010 season-ticket holders
Those fans that held season tickets in 2010 will be able to renew on CSURams.com beginning March 1.
Last year's season-ticket holders will receive their customer ID number and their PIN number in the mail. Season-ticket holders will need that information to log into the renewal page online.
Paper invoices will be mailed in March. Current season-ticket holders can choose to participate in the payment plan for their orders; however, they will need to complete the authorization form (which will be mailed with their paper invoice).
Early Bird Family Plan special
Once again, CSU athletics is offering a special on family plan season tickets, an incentive to those who did not purchase season tickets last year.
From March 1-April 30, families can purchase an Early Bird Family Plan. The Early Bird Family Plan consists of two adult season tickets and two youth season tickets in the north end zone for only $280, a season-ticket savings of $90. It does not include the CU game in Denver.
Family plans can be adjusted according to the varying size of the fan's family. This promotion only is available to those new to the Rams' season-ticket fan base in 2011.
