NAPLES, Fla. – Just returned last night from the combine. It was an amazing week, that’s for sure. Packing up today before I head back home to prepare for Pro Day in Fort Collins.

On Friday, we had another early morning, waking up around 6:30. We took the Wonderlic test and then met with the NFLPA. I felt I did well on my Wonderlic, but I was exhausted by the time we got to the meeting, just from being short on sleep and mentally tiring myself on the test.
 
I did some more interviews with NFL teams that day, too. Met Coach Chris Foerster from the Redskins and he was telling me about his days when he played at CSU, so it was cool to meet another former Ram.
 
The Under Armour gear we got here at the combine is cool. It’s all personalized, and new stuff. I was definitely excited about wearing the workout gear and testing it out on Saturday. I saw that CSU will be wearing Under Armour cleats next year; I think the guys will like them because they are pretty comfortable.
 
On Friday night, I knew we were looking at all the running and position drills the next day, so I got to bed at a decent time in preparation for the big day.
 
Saturday was our testing day. Shelley did really well. He killed most of the drills looking really explosive and smooth. I was happy for him. I did alright. I feel like I might have been able to perform better, so I will be looking forward to having that chance to improve at Pro Day on March 10 at CSU. Shelley and I talked about how it was pretty crazy actually being on the field doing the drills and knowing we were on NFL Network.

The combine has been something, a dream opportunity for both of us and it really settled in as we were out there on the field.
 
I had to sprint from the field back to the hotel to make my flight, which left immediately after the combine. I was looking forward to going back to Naples, where it’s a little warmer than in Indy. This time has flown by. It seems like yesterday I was at the East-West Shrine Game in Orlando, and now the combine is already over.
 
Looking forward to getting back to Colorado and seeing the family and friends, and preparing for Pro Day out there. It was an honor to represent the Rams at the NFL combine and I know Shelley would say the same. We both want to thank everyone for their support and wishes throughout the last couple days. It’s been great.
