FORT COLLINS, Colo.--Colorado State has hired Neil Morgan as its new athletics video coordinator. Morgan joins the Rams from Northwestern University, where he has served as assistant director of video operations since 2009.
Morgan will handle all video operations for the Rams' football program, while overseeing and assisting with the video needs of all other intercollegiate sports at Colorado State. He will be responsible for taping and editing all game and practice video, managing opponent video, production of highlight films and supervision of video staff and students.
In his five seasons at Northwestern, Morgan spent one year (2008-09) as a video assistant before being promoted to assistant director of video operations in 2009. In that role he supervised, instructed and monitored the team of interns and student videographers in taping practices and games, and oversaw all video operations for the Wildcats' football program.
Morgan's duties also included providing technical support for the video network and all devices used by the coaching staff, as well as video exchange, recruiting videos and highlight films.
Prior to his tenure at Northwestern, Morgan coached Division III football at North Park University in Chicago. He served as video coordinator in addition to his duties assisting the offensive and special teams coaches.
A native of Guildford, England, Morgan earned both a bachelor's degree and postgraduate certificate from the University of East Anglia in Norwich. He spent seven years as a high school teacher and coach in Norwich before moving to the United States in 2006.
