EL PASO, Texas (AP) - Vernon Frazier ran for two touchdowns and a career-high 167 yards as UTEP rolled to a 31-17 victory over Colorado State on Saturday night.
The Miners (4-3) never trailed. They pulled out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter after Nick Lamaison found Nathan Jeffery with a 36-yard scoring pass and Frazier ran 48 yards for a touchdown.
After a power outage delayed the start of the second half, Frazier added an 83-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and Lamaison ran for a touchdown in the fourth to put the Miners out of reach.
Lamaison finished with 116 yards passing and 47 running.
