(opening statement)
"I think we got a little better today, I really do. I know it's in a loss, and credit due to coach MacIntyre and what he's done. In the three years he's been there this is a totally reshaped team than what I saw in his first year. We missed some open creatures running around out there. We've gotta hit those you can't leave that much offense on the field. You just can't leave it out there and expect to win."

"We created some explosive plays and I felt like, you know, when they went up early on us you know we hung in there, we kept playing, I think that was a positive, and you know third downs and explosive plays that's probably the story of the game."

(on QB Garrett Grayson)
"I thought Garrett did some good things, made some throws I know he'd like to have back, but he'll be able to learn from it and you know guys, I think we have the making of a pretty good quarterback."

(on San Jose State)
"Credit him (MacIntyre) and his coaching staff. He's got some good players and they're playing fast. I thought they had a good plan they went on double cadence and saw the blitzes and knew where they needed to go to and that's a credit to what they're doing on offense."

(on falling behind 14-0 early in the game)
"I didn't get a chance to finish a cup of water. It was in a hurry. The good thing is the guys fought and hung in there."

"If they give us a look (we go for 2), we got the look and didn't execute it.

"I'm really impressed with this quarterback. This guy puts it where it needs to go you can tell he's in rhythm and knows exactly what they're asking him to do."
