Tim LeRoy is in his third year at Colorado State in 2014. He joined the Rams' program in the spring of 2012 after spending the previous two years at Washington State.
A veteran coach and recruiter with more than 19 years of experience in the business, LeRoy was director of player personnel at Washington State, where he evaluated prospective student-athletes, provided defensive quality control and prepared practice schedules.
LeRoy's previous college stints include Carroll College (defensive assistant; 2007), where he helped the program to a national championship, Weber State (defensive assistant; 2004), Nebraska Wesleyan (defensive coordinator, recruiting coordinator; 2002-03), Houston (recruiting coordinator/assistant director of football operations; 2000-02), Wyoming (graduate assistant; 1999) and Nebraska (graduate assistant, defensive assistant; 1995-99).
As recruiting coordinator for the Cougars, he brought in the No. 1 recruiting class in Conference USA for three years. He was a part of two national championship teams at Nebraska (1995, '97), winning the Orange Bowl and Fiesta Bowl.
LeRoy's experience also includes prep coaching stints at Sheridan (Wyo.) High School (head coach, 2004-06) and Tongue River High School in Dayton, Wyo. (quarterbacks, defensive backs; 2008-09).
LeRoy holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Seattle University ('91) and a master's degree in education from Nebraska ('99). He played college football as a defensive back at Eastern Washington University and Walla Walla (Wash.) Community College.
Tim and his wife, Dr. Dana LeRoy, have one son, Timmy. Dr. LeRoy is owner of a dental practice in Sheridan, Wyo.
