High School: A supersonic three-year starter out of Dallas powerhouse Carter High School, played mostly in the deep secondary, as a safety and rover in a five-man backfield...Picked off seven career passes, including two touchdowns...A punt- and kickoff-return specialist, produced four kickoff touchdowns as a prep...Also served as a reserve running back and slot receiver on offense...A second-team all-district performer as a 2011 senior, provided important leadership for a first-year head coach, and posted 44 tackles, two fumble recoveries and four interceptions, one of which he returned for 62-yard touchdown...In Devin Hester fashion, returned a kickoff for a touchdown in each of his first three games as a senior, scores of 88, 83 and 84 yards, forcing coaches to kick away from him over the balance of the season...Helped Carter to consecutive second-round appearances in the Region II Class 4A playoffs as a sophomore and junior...In 2010, picked off a pair of passes, one for a 36-yard TD, and registered 38 tackles, and a fumble recovery; on special teams, returned a kickoff 82 yards for a score...As a first-year starter in 2009, cashed in his only interception for a 43-yard TD, and returned a punt for an 88-yard touchdown...Also ran track for the Cowboys, specializing in the 100-meter dash, and the 4x100 and 2x100 relays, lettering three years...Served two years as both a football and track team captain...Top prep time in the 40-yard dash was 4.37 seconds, with a 255-pound bench press...Earned a spot on the CHS honor roll...Head football coaches were Patrick Williams and Allen Wilson.
