Rob Ezell
 Rob Ezell
Offensive Graduate Assistant

Rob Ezell is in his second season serving as a graduate assistant to the Rams' offensive coaching staff in 2013.

The former Alabama wide receiver under Jim McElwain joined the Rams' program in 2012 just prior to McElwain's first season as head coach in Fort Collins.

Ezell was a two-time all-state quarterback at Athens (Ala.) High School, where he led his team to a state championship win in his senior season of 2006. That year, he was named the Class 5A Back of the Year by the Alabama Sports Writers Association, completing 55 percent of his passes for 2,700 yards and 22 touchdowns and rushing for 843 yards and six more touchdowns. Ezell was a varsity starter as a freshman at Athens High, and capped his career as the first back-to-back winner of The Decatur Daily's Class 4A-6A Player of the Year award. He won the honor as a junior when he passed for more than 3,000 yards and 31 touchdowns in leading his team to the Alabama state class 5A quarterfinals.

Ezell then went to Alabama where he walked-on as a quarterback. In 2008 he switched to wide receiver and played in a handful of games while McElwain served as the Tide's offensive coordinator. He was part of the 2009 national championship team as a player and was a member of the 2011 national championship team as a volunteer assistant working with the defense.
