Junior College: Joins the Rams with two years of eligibility after two seasons at The College of San Mateo (Calif.)...Transferred to the junior college in the summer of 2010...Played two years with the program, starting at right tackle as a redshirt sophomore in 2011 after starting part of the season in 2010...Helped the school to consecutive victories in the Bulldog Bowl, after a 7-3 campaign in 2010 and an 8-3 season in 2011...Head football coach was Brett Pollack.

2009: Signed a National Letter of Intent with Cal in February before high-school graduation, and redshirted as a true freshman.

High School: An all-around athlete that had played every conceivable sport except football, put on a helmet and shoulder pads for the first time in his life in preseason practice before his 2007 junior season, his first organized football campaign at any level...Just one year later as a senior, played a key role in Mullen's 2008 Colorado 5A state championship, starting every game of Mullen's 11-2 season at left tackle; selected first-team Class 5A all-state and Denver Post All-Colorado, a list of the state's top players regardless of classification...At Invesco Field at Mile High in the title game, threw a pivotal block on each of his team's three touchdown runs in a 20-14 triumph over Cherry Creek...Played defensive end in his first year of football, 2007, when Mullen went 12-1 before an upset loss to Douglas County in the 5A semifinals...Also lettered three years as a center on the Mustangs' basketball team, helping the squad to three straight state tournament berths, including a final four appearance his sophomore year; started his final two seasons, but an ankle injury limited him as a senior...Lettered as a junior and senior in track and field, specializing in the shot and discus...Head football coach was Dave Logan...Top speed in the 40-yard dash was 5.0 seconds...Graduated with a 3.1 GPA.
