High School: A first-team all-district, second-team all-Central Texas and honorable-mention all-state selection, was a 1,000-yard wide receiver at Bastrop (Texas) High School, southeast of Austin...An explosive weapon for the 10-4 Bears, hauled in 13 TDs and averaged 22.4 yards per reception (56 catches, 1,256 yards), as a senior, helping propel the team to the Texas Class 4A regional playoffs...Also helped Bastrop to bi-district, area and regional titles...Awarded Built Ford Tough Player of the Week honors after establishing the single-game school record with 265 receiving yards, on 11 catches with two TDs, in a 42-27 triumph over previously undefeated Connally, in Week 8 of his senior year...Had four 100-yard games as a senior...Did not play as a junior in 2009 after breaking his ankle as a sophomore in 2008, limiting his recruiting...Head football coach was Gerald Perry...Also lettered once in basketball and twice in track and field...Top prep speed in the 40-yard dash was 4.47 seconds...Also recruited by Oklahoma State and Texas State, among others.
