2012 Signing Class Highlights; 24 players

High School: A three-year starter on both sides of the ball at Elsinore High School in Wildomar, Calif., about halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego, led his team to a 28-9 record from 2009-11...Won two consecutive Defensive Player of the Year honors, in 2010 and '11, as the top defender in the entire CIF Southern Section/Eastern Division...The starting middle linebacker in the Tigers' 4-3 and 3-3 defenses, finished with 381 career tackles, nine sacks and two interceptions...Earned consecutive team MVP awards from his coaches and teammates, in 2010 and '11...A three-year letterman and three-year team captain, also started at tight end every season, catching 28 career passes, seven for touchdowns...Also racked up three all-Sun Belt Conference certificates, and earned a pair of all-Riverside County and all-Murrieta Valley accolades...As a senior, led the 8-4 Tigers to the second round of the second round of the CIF Southern Section/Eastern Division playoffs...Garnered second-team all-state honors (CalHiSports.com) and his division's Defensive Player of the Year award...The senior quarterback of the EHS defense, posted 145 stops, four sacks, an INT and a forced fumble, while as a tight end caught 11 passes for 185 yards and three TDs...As a junior in 2010, guided the 12-2 Tigers to their first championship in the program's 83-year history, a CIF Southern Section/Eastern Division crown, and earned division Defensive Player of the Year honors in the process...Compiled 139 tackles, three sacks, an interception, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery...The team's second-leading receiver as a junior, hauled in 16 catches for 305 yards, with three TDs...A first-year starter as a sophomore in 2009, posted 97 tackles, a pair of sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery, while his lone reception was a 15-yard TD...Played football for his father, longtime Elsinore head coach Tony Peralta...Also lettered two years in basketball, as a forward, and ran track as a freshman and sophomore...A valedictorian and three-time academic all-CIF student-athlete, currently owns a 4.3 GPA on a 4.0 scale, thanks to advanced-placement classes, and turned down a football invitation from Harvard to play for the Rams...Also runs a 4.8 40-yard dash.
