- Appeared in 12 of 13 games, starting two (at Boise State (9/6) and vs. UC Davis (9/13)) at left tackle for the injured Ty Sambrailo... Also played on the Rams’ field goal unit.
- Saw his first action of the season against Colorado (Aug. 29) when Ty Sambrailo left the game with a knee injury...helped the Rams rush for 266 yards on the ground, tied for the most by CSU in the Rocky Mountain Showdown.
- Helped the Rams rack up 676 yards of total offense in first career start, against UC Davis (Sept. 13), third-most in a single-game by the Rams offense.
- Filled in at left guard in a win against defending MW Mountain Division champion Utah State (Oct. 18) after Mason Myers left the game with a knee injury.
2013 (Freshman): Played in one game (Air Force) as a backup offensive lineman.
2012 (Redshirt): Redshirted as a true freshman in his first season of college eligibility.
High School: A formidable pillar in the trenches at St. Mary’s College High School in Berkeley, Calif., he did not miss a start during his three years as the Panthers’ left tackle, ending his career with a 33-game streak...a three-sport athlete, also started as a defensive tackle during his junior and senior campaigns...selected to the Bay Area News Group’s Cream of the Crop as one of the region’s top 20 overall players in 2011...the 2011 Bay Shore Athletic League Offensive Lineman of the Year, garnered first-team all-conference honors on both sides of the ball...earned All-East Bay (Bay Area News Group) and All-metro (San Francisco Chronicle) accolades, after the Panthers produced a 1,000-yard rusher for the third straight season....During his three years, the program averaged better than 7 yards per carry and advanced to the Division 4 playoffs every season...picked up honorable-mention all-conference recognition as a junior and sophomore, when 9-2 St. Mary’s earned the No. 1 seed in the Division 4 playoffs, but lost in the first round, 43-42...also contributed four seasons to his track & field team, specializing in the throws and excelling in the shot put…was a NorCal finalist in that shot put as a freshman and junior…won the Bay Shore Athletic League individual title in 2011...a starting varsity center as a junior and senior, played basketball at St. Mary’s, lettering two years...head football coach was Keith Minor.
Personal: Given name is Nicholas Jordan Callender...born June 16, 1994, in Berkeley, Calif. ...parents are Meredith and Henry Callender...has one younger sister...cousin, Evan Williams, was a running back at Western Carolina...plans to major in business at Colorado State...hometown: Hayward, Calif.
