High School: Rated the No. 6 defensive back and No. 38 overall prospect in the Orlando Sentinel's Central Florida Top 100... Returned kicks and played free safety, strong safety, cornerback, running back and wildcat quarterback at Maynard Evans High School in Orlando, Fla. ...Blocked nine kicks in his career, six as a junior...A team captain in 2009, didn't see many passes thrown his direction as a senior CB, as opposing offenses game planned away from him...Opponent coaches still voted him a first-team all-Metro cornerback, in addition to second-team all-conference recognition as a DB, and selection to the Central Florida All-Star Game, where he earned defensive MVP honors...Also earned the city's Defensive Player of the Week honors from the Orlando Touchdown Club for his efforts in an 18-6 triumph over archrival Jones...Scored a touchdown as a RB in his final prep game, against eventual state semifinalist Apopka...Earned a spot on the Orlando Sentinel's Top 100 Florida Players to Watch entering the 2009 season after blocking six kicks - five FGs and one punt as a junior...That year, in 2008, helped MEHS to a heartbreaking 5-5 record, as the Trojans missed the playoffs after two last-second losses...Earned honorable-mention all-conference honors as a junior DB, with 48 tackles, two INTs and five passes broken up, four of which were dropped interceptions...Also ran track for the Trojans...Head football coach was Greg Thompson...Top speed in the 40-yard dash is 4.59 seconds...Also recruited by Indiana, Iowa State, Kentucky, Memphis, Minnesota, Mississippi, Pitt, Purdue, South Florida, Tennessee Florida Atlantic and Florida International.
