2011 (Senior): Finished his career having started 24 straight games, tied for the team's longest active streak at his graduation...One of the Rams' veteran leaders, among the strongest on the team, has started 11 games...Missed much of fall camp after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery, but returned in time to prepare for the season opener at New Mexico (Sept. 3)...Helped CSU rush for 242 yards in home-opening win over Northern Colorado (Sept. 10)...Quietly helped the Rams to exhilarating, 35-34 win in double overtime at Utah State (Sept. 24), helping RB Chris Nwoke (11 carries, 47 yards, two TD on final three possessions) earn MW Offensive Player of the Week as CSU erased a 21-13 deficit in the final minute of regulation...In losing cause at UNLV (Oct. 29), helped the Rams to 250 rushing yards, including 156 from Chris Nwoke...In windy, 18-15 loss vs. San Diego State (Nov. 12), helped RB Chris Nwoke to 232 rushing yards, most by an FBS player in Week 11, and then the most by a CSU player ever at Hughes Stadium; the Rams averaged 7.83 yards per carry, sixth-best in program annals; also made key blocks on each of Nwoke's big runs in the first half, a 63-yard TD and a 67-yard burst, on which he actually sealed off two defenders...In loss vs. Air Force (Nov. 26), made a kick-out block to help spring Chris Nwoke on a 62-yard TD run in the third quarter, assisting the RB to a Hughes Stadium record 269 rushing yards, third most in CSU history and third most by an individual at the FBS level in 2011...Helped Nwoke become first player in Rams history with multiple 200-yard rushing games in the same season...In career finale, vs. Wyoming (Dec. 3), made a nice block to spring FB Joe Brown on a 23-yard screen pass in the first quarter; also opened a hole for RB Raymond Carter on a third-quarter TD, part of Carter's 158-yard, two-TD rushing performance...Earned academic all-conference honors following the season. Career Division I games played/started: 36/28 (12/12 in 2011; 12/12 in 2010; 11/4 in 2009; 1/0 in 2008).
2010 (Junior): Despite having started only four games entering the year, earned his teammates' vote as one of five permanent captains...Earned academic all-conference following the season...Entrenched as the Rams' weakside guard, played in all 12 games (12 starts)...Helped the Rams to their first win, vs. Idaho (Sept. 27), blocking for 100-yard rusher Raymond Carter...At No. 25 Air Force (Oct. 9), helped the Rams pile up more rushing yards (285) than the Falcons' nation-leading rushing offense (248), including Leonard Mason's career-high 139...In 43-10 win vs. UNLV (Oct. 16), helped Mason to 121 more on the ground, and 259 team rushing yards...In 38-14 win vs. New Mexico (Oct. 30), helped the Rams to 328 yards on the ground, their largest output since the 2008 New Mexico Bowl; also made a key block on Mason's 38-yard touchdown in the second quarter...At SDSU (Nov. 6), preserved a second-quarter march by recovering a fumble.
2009 (Sophomore): Played in 11 games, with four starts, the season's first four games at weakside guard...Among CSU's strongest players, established a team record with 32 reps on the bench press in an NFL Combine-style test at the 2009 Rams Superstars Competition in April at Moby Arena...In resounding 23-17 win at Colorado (Sept. 6), with starter Shelley Smith (ankle) out, made his first career start in only his second college game, on his 21st birthday...Helped Rams outgain the Buffs on the ground, 168-29...After Smith returned to the lineup, saw reserve action at guard in most games over the balance of the season...Earned academic all-conference following the season.
2008 (Freshman): Saw action in one game, his college debut, late in the loss at Cal (Sept. 27).
2007: Redshirted as a true freshman in his first season of college eligibility.
High School: Earned football MVP honors his senior year at Grand Island (Neb.) Senior High School...The Tri-City honorary offensive football captain, was a first-team all-state Class A selection...A three-sport athlete, also lettered four years in both basketball and track and field...On two occasions, won the Grand Island strongest man competition...Named academic all-state two years in a row...A member of the National Honor Society, was the valedictorian in a class of more than 400 students...High school football coach was Jeff Tomlin.
