2012 (Junior): Emerged from fall camp as a starter on the offensive line as left guard. Haynes played in nine games for the Rams and started seven of those contests.

  • Made his first career start against Colorado (Sept. 1), helping the Rams to a season-opening victory. With the Rams trying to run out the clock, opened up a hole on the left side for Donnell Alexander to run for 37 yards and put the game out of reach for the Buffs.
  • Started against North Dakota State (Sept. 8) and San Jose State (Sept. 15) before being replaced by Ty Sambrailo. Remained a key reserve for the offensive line over the next five games.
  • Returned to the starting lineup at Wyoming (Nov. 3) and helped the Rams rush for 125 yards and two TDs.
  • Started the final four games for Colorado State. In those final games the running game averaged 163.3 yards per game and only allowed 1.7 sacks.

Career Division I games played/started: 20/7 (9/7; 8/0 in 2011; 3/0 in 2010).

2011 (Sophomore): A key reserve interior lineman, overcame a knee sprain during fall camp and played in eight games...Took first-team reps at guard in place of an injured Jake Gdowski for nearly two weeks until sustaining his own knee injury Aug. 18...Worked his way back and played in his first 2011 game as a reserve in win vs. Northern Colorado (Sept. 10), helping CSU rush for 242 yards...Saw several offensive snaps in loss vs. No. 5 Boise State (Oct. 15)...Entered loss at UTEP (Oct. 22) as an extra tackle, occasionally lining up as a fullback...Also saw short-yardage snaps in losses at UNLV (Oct. 29), vs. San Diego State (Nov. 12) and at No. 19 TCU (Nov. 19)...In loss vs. Air Force (Nov. 26), saw several plays as an extra tackle, playing a small role in Chris Nwoke's Hughes Stadium-record 269 rushing yards...In season finale vs. Wyoming (Dec. 3), entered as CSU's main tackle for the second series, his first of several snaps in that role.

2010 (Freshman): Played in three games as a reserve, all in consecuitve fashion...Made his college debut late in big win vs. UNLV (Oct. 16), then saw late action at Utah (Oct. 23) and vs. New Mexico (Oct. 30).

2009: Redshirted as a true freshman in his first season of college eligibility...Participated on the CSU track & field team in the spring.

High School: As a senior at Dallas (Texas) Jesuit College Prep, was a second-team all-district 8-5A selection...As a captain, led the Rangers into battle in a very tough district that featured the 5A Division I state champion, Allen High School, and the Division II runner-up, Wylie...Played both guard and tackle on the offensive line...Selected as the team's co-offensive MVP...An all-District 7-5A first-team selection as a junior, was named outstanding lineman for Jesuit...To start off his senior season in track and field, set his school record in the shot put with a throw of 56 feet, 3 inches, at the Arkansas High School Indoor Invitational...Had a 29-inch vertical leap, a 5.1-second time in the 40-yard dash, and bench pressed 300 pounds...Also holds the Jesuit school records for the dead lift (525 pounds), the power clean (275 pounds), and the squat (620 pounds)...Had a personal-best throw of 169 feet, 11.5 inches, in the discus, and was a two-time district champion in both the shot put and the discus...A two-time regional qualifier (2007, 2008) in track and field, also was a state qualifier in 2008...Head football coach was Bob Wunderlick...Chose Colorado State over interest from Kansas, Louisiana Tech, North Texas, Southern Miss, UNLV, Northwestern State and Duke.

Personal: Given name Brandon Matthew Haynes...Born Jan. 25, 1991, in Dallas, Texas...Son of Don and Anne Haynes...Has one older brother...Both parents are graduates of Grambling State...Spent an afternoon visiting with patients and their families serviced by Respite Care in February before the '10 season...For a month during the summer of 2010, interacted with low-income Linton Elementary students at a local clubhouse, in conjunction with the Larimer County Food Bank, Fort Collins Recreation and Vineyard church...Helped orchestrate Math Night at Fort Collins' Bauder Elementary, working with youngsters to help them learn math, in February 2011...Before the 2011 season, spent a day with developmentally disabled kids at Respite Care of Fort Collins...Majoring in history...Hometown: Cedar Hill, Texas.
