High School: Ranked as the No. 4 running back and No. 49 overall prospect on the Central Florida Top 100...A four-year letterman and two-year team captain, started at running back for Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, helping the Panthers to consecutive district and conference titles and a combined 21-3 record over his final two seasons...Also played defensive end and fullback, and returned kickoffs...Earned all-Metro Conference honors as a senior, when the 11-1 Panthers registered a school record in wins before bowing out in the second round of the Florida 6A playoffs in a 58-52, five-overtime loss to Apopka...In 2009 on offense, ran for 10 touchdowns and 798 yards on 114 carries, and caught five passes for 101 yards...A starter in only three games on defense as a senior, still notched three forced fumbles and four sacks, including a fourth-down sack in DPHS' 23-22 victory over Olympia in the Florida regional quarterfinals; earned Apex Player of the Game honors for his efforts... Earlier, scored three touchdowns to help defeat Gateway, clinching the Panthers' third district title in four years and clinch home-field advantage in the first round of the playoffs ...As a junior, played with new CSU teammate Nico Ranieri, helping to lead DPHS to a 10-2 record and the second round of the 6A state playoffs...In 2008, just missed 1,000 yards rushing, with 904 yards on 109 carries and 12 TDs, including a 72-yard score...Also caught nine passes for 140 yards...As a sophomore, had 594 yards on 54 carries (11.0 avg.) and six TDs, and two grabs for 45 yards...Battled injury as a freshman, but still ran for five touchdowns and 315 yards on 22 carries...Also lettered three years in track, where he won a 2009 district championship in the long jump...Has 4.4-second speed in the 40-yard dash...Head football coaches were Dale Salapa and Kevin Pettis...Also recruited by Cincinnati, Miami (Fla.), North Carolina, Marshall, Bowling Green, Central Florida, The Citadel, Florida State, South Florida, Purdue and Notre Dame.
