2012 (Junior): A transfer from Cerritos College made an immediate impact on the Rams defensive line playing in all 12 games this season. Edwards accounted for 14 tackles.

Made his Division I debut against in-state rival Colorado (Sept. 1).
In Colorado State's home-opener against North Dakota State (Sept. 8), registered two solo stops. His first career tackle came on a first quarter punt.
In the Rams' first true road game at San Jose State (Sept. 15), record two tackles.
On the road at Air Force (Sept. 29), had a career-high three tackles (one solo). Late in the first quarter the Falcons tried to run the ball on first-and-goal but Edwards and Shaquil Barrett stopped Broam Hart for no gain.
