2009 (Sophomore): Played in seven games as a reserve defensive end...Had eight stops (five solo), 1½ for loss, ½ sack, one pass deflection and a forced fumble...Made his college debut in resounding 23-17 win at Colorado (Sept. 6); saw fourth-quarter action late as part of CSU's defensive-line rotation...Also saw line action in 24-23 win vs. Weber State (Sept. 12), and sniffed out a screen to throw RB Treyvn Smith for a 3-yard loss in the first quarter, and the Wildcats missed a field goal three plays later...Saw considerable defensive snaps in 35-20 win vs. Nevada (Sept. 19), including a fourth-quarter play in which he broke up a Colin Kaepernick pass on second-and-goal, one play before Nick Oppenneer recovered a Wolf Pack fumble...Sustained knee injury vs. Nevada and did not play in losses at BYU (Sept. 26), at Idaho (Oct. 3) vs. Utah (Oct. 10), or at No. 8 TCU (Oct. 17)...Returned to action in loss vs. San Diego State (Oct. 24), sharing his first career sack with Andy Clements late in the first half; forced a Ryan Lindley fumble on the play.
