2011 (Sophomore): Having shifted from defensive end to tight end just nine days before the spring game, and heading into fall camp as the Rams' No. 1 tight end, started all 12 games...A second-team all-conference selection (MW coaches/media, Phil Steele), finished 10^th in the Mountain West with 3.75 receptions per game...Led the team in receptions (45), receiving yards (468) and TD catches (4), averaging 10.4 yards per grab, posting at least three catches in 11 of 12 games...Also threw a 27-yard TD pass...Became the first tight end to lead the Rams in receiving since All-American Keli McGregor in 1984...Earned a spot on the midseason watch list of the John Mackey Award, Oct. 17...Selected first-team midseason all-conference by CollegeFootballNews.com on Oct. 21...Made his offensive debut at New Mexico (Sept. 3), making his first career catch in the second quarter, followed by a leaping 33-yard touchdown, CSU's first of 2010 and the initial score of his career, late in the first half...In home-opening win vs. Northern Colorado (Sept. 10), helped open a hole for Chris Nwoke on a second-quarter TD run...In Denver loss vs. Colorado (Sept. 17), caught five passes for 84 yards, including a 23-yard fourth-quarter touchdown from WR Charles Lovett, off a Pete Thomas lateral; on first CSU drive in Buffs contest, took a screen 34 yards to set up the Rams' first touchdown, and later, in the third quarter, converted a third-and-11 with a 12-yard reception, setting up his TD reception from Lovett... Played a lead role in helping CSU to exhilarating, 35-34 triumph in double overtime at Utah State (Sept. 24)...First, with 42 seconds left after CSU had just pulled to 21-19 with a Chris Nwoke TD run, even after the Rams committed a 5-yard false-start penalty, essentially caught an 8-yard pass from Thomas for a two-point conversion that sent the game to OT; then, in the first overtime period, caught a 7-yard TD in the back of the end zone that knotted the score again...On Nwoke's TD at the end of regulation, somehow blocked two Utah State defenders at the point of attack...In 38-31 loss vs. San Jose State (Oct. 1), caught a pass in a fifth-straight game...In loss vs. No. 5 Boise State (Oct. 15), caught a lateral from Pete Thomas, then lofted a 27-yard touchdown pass to FB Joe Brown to put the Rams on the scoreboard in the second quarter; on next possession, caught two passes for 30 yards, including a 25-yarder, on another touchdown drive...Drew a facemask penalty in loss at UTEP (Oct. 22), putting the Rams on the Miners' doorstep early in second quarter, then set up a fourth-quarter TD with a 9-yard reception on fourth-and-8... 2010 (Freshman): Began August practice as a tight end but converted to defensive end shortly before the season opener, filling an injury void...Played in 11 games...Totaled 11 tackles (eight solo), with two stops for loss, including a big sack in his first college game...Also recovered a fumble, broke up a pass, and had one QB hurry...Made his college debut, one of seven true freshmen to do so for CSU, in season-opener vs. Colorado (Sept. 4) at Invesco Field...Despite moving to defensive end only three weeks earlier, saw plenty of playing time in Buffs contest and threw QB Tyler Hansen for a 16-yard loss, his first career sack, to thwart a fourth-quarter drive nearing field-goal position and force a punt...Missed most of the week's practice (respiratory illness) and played just one series at Miami-Ohio (Sept. 18)...Saw several series in loss vs. No. 5 TCU (Oct. 2) and played most of the game at No. 25 Air Force (Oct. 9); threw QB Tim Jefferson for a 3-yard loss on a third-and-5 run, forcing a fourth-quarter punt...In fourth quarter of 43-10 win vs. UNLV (Oct. 16), recovered a fumble by QB Caleb Herring at midfield, setting up a CSU field goal...Did not play at SDSU (Nov. 6)...Converted back to tight end nine days before the 2011 spring game, again filling an injury void.
