2012 (Sophomore): Has seen limited action at wide receiver but is one of CSU's featured return men... His speed and versatility has allowed him to return kickoffs in all three games in 2012... Currently averages 19.2 yards per return...

2011 (Freshman): Another former high-school QB turned into a WR by the Rams, having excited coaches since his first college practice in the fall, led then-Head Coach Steve Fairchild on Aug. 10 to declare he would play as a true freshman...Played in 12 games, with one start, catching nine passes for 65 yards (7.2 avg.), in addition to three carries for 33 yards (11.0 avg.)...Also led team with a 26.0-yard average on kickoff returns (15-390), which ranked second in the conference behind TCU All-American Greg McCoy, and tied for 22nd in the nation... KR mark was seventh-best in CSU annals...Made his college debut in season-opening win at New Mexico (Sept. 3), back deep for the game-opening kickoff; later, registered his initial career catch, a 1-yard loss on the Rams' first drive...In home-opening win over Northern Colorado (Sept. 10), posted his first career kickoff return, a 28-yard runback in the third quarter, and tied for the team lead with four receptions...Had a 39-yard kickoff return in exhilarating double overtime win at Utah State (Sept. 24) to vault himself into the nation's top 40 returners...In 38-31 loss vs. San Jose State (Oct. 1), made his first career start...Showed explosiveness in a pair of kickoff returns at UTEP (Oct. 22), with a 44-yard burst to answer a UTEP TD late in the third quarter; then ripped off a 43-yard return in the fourth quarter, setting up a TD...Picked up 34 yards on his first career carry, at UNLV (Oct. 29), setting up a go-ahead field goal in the second quarter...In season-ending loss vs. Wyoming (Dec. 3), bobbled the game-opening kickoff but kept his poise and ripped off a 65-yard return to the Cowboys' 27-yard line, setting up a CSU field goal; the runback was the Rams' longest kickoff return of the season; also, sent back to return a first-quarter punt, alertly blocked the coverage on a touchback.

High School: A four-sport athlete, was an offensive warhead in three years as a starter at Iowa Park, near Wichita Falls just south of the Texas-Oklahoma border...Garnered consecutive District 6-3A MVP honors, as a junior and senior, and landed on the Wichita Falls Times Record News' Red River 22 in both 2009 and `10...During a three-year career, ran for 3,734 yards and 42 touchdowns...A two-way starter as a sophomore and junior, rarely came off the field, playing both cornerback and safety on defense...Started all 32 games after launching his varsity career as a sophomore starting QB in a spread offense, before IPHS returned to a Wing-T for the last half of that season; remained at wing back in the same offense as a junior but wound up playing three games in place of an injured QB at season's end...Then, received 2010 Offensive MVP honors on the Red River 22 after a stellar senior campaign in which he served as the Hawks' quarterback in a newly implemented spread offense...Led the Hawks to an 8-3 record, resurrecting a team that was 1-9 in 2008 and 5-6 in 2009...Paced IPHS to the bi-district playoffs in 2010, becoming the first QB in school history to top 1,000 rushing and passing yards in the same season...Passed for 1,588 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior, while rushing for an area-leading 1,704 yards and 24 scores, averaging better than 300 yards of total offense every week...In 2009, earned league MVP honors with 1,065 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns; played most of the season as a wing back in a Wing-T offense, but wound up playing all or most of three games in place of the Hawks' injured starting QB...Just missed 1,000 rushing yards as a first-time varsity player in 2008, racking up 965 with seven touchdowns...Caught very few passes during his three years, as the Hawks picked up the majority of their yards on the ground; his senior campaign, when he started at QB, featured the most passing attempts by an IPHS offense in recent memory...Head football coaches were Scott Ponder and Chris Ellis...Also graduated with four letters in basketball (four-year starting point guard), four in baseball (three-year starting centerfielder) and four in track (mile relay, 100, 200, triple jump)...In baseball, earned district Newcomer of the Year honors in addition to consecutive all-district accolades as a sophomore and junior, prior to signing his national letter of intent (was selected in the 2011 June draft by the Kansas City Royals)...Had 4.4-second speed in the 40-yard dash...Also recruited by TCU, Texas Tech, SMU, Angelo State, Midwestern State, Sam Houston State and West Texas A&M.
