2009 (Freshman): Has played in three games...Made his college debut in second-half action from scrimmage at No. 8 TCU (Oct. 17)...In loss vs. SDSU (Oct. 24), registered his first career sack (shared) late in the first half, a third-down play that kept SDSU out of field-goal position with CSU winning 21-7...In second quarter of loss vs. Air Force (Oct. 31), on his first play from scrimmage, dropped QB Tim Jefferson just shy of the sticks to force a punt; also forced an incompletion with a second-quarter hurry, then, in fourth quarter, pounced on a Jared Tew fumble.

2008: Redshirted as a true freshman in his first season of college eligibility.

High School: As a senior at Chatfield High School in Littleton, Colo., was an all-Colorado linebacker (honored by both the Rocky Mountain News and Denver Post), first-team all-state, and first-team all-South Metro League in 2007...Also earned all-conference recognition three consecutive years...In 2007, amassed 97 tackles in only 11 games, with 11 sacks, one fumble recovery and an interception...His team's defensive MVP, helped Chatfield rebound from a difficult `06 season to post a 7-4 record and advance to the second round of the Class 5A state playoffs with a dramatic win over Poudre at Fort Collins' French Field...Also punted and played fullback, where he rushed for 250 yards as a senior and nearly 600 during his Chargers career...Played safety as a sophomore...Head coach was Bret McGatlin...Earned three football letters...A three-sport athlete, also lettered in track four years and basketball one year...Was all-conference as a track athlete, his team's Outstanding Freshman in 2005, and Chatfield's Junior Male Athlete of the Year for the 2006-07 academic year...Specialized in the 200-meter dash and the 4x200 relay...Appeared on the honor roll all four years...In addition to CSU, was recruited by Colorado, Air Force, Wyoming, Utah and New Mexico.
