  • Attended Loveland (Colo.) High School, earning six letters in football and track and field.
  • A force to be reckoned with on the defensive side of the ball for the Indians, was twice named first-team all-area.
  • Earned All-Northern League honors as a sophomore, junior, and senior on the football field.
  • As a senior was named first-team all-state and was twice named to the academic all-state team.
  • Also had an illustrious track and field career at Loveland High School, placing seventh in the discus throw at the state championships his senior year.
  • As a junior took seventh in the shot put at the state championships.
  • Named the "Field Athlete of the Year" his junior and senior seasons by the Loveland Reporter Herald.
  • 2011's graduating class Valedictorian.
