High School: A grayshirt, enrolled for the spring 2009 semester and began practice in spring 2009...A second-team all-Mountain Plains League defensive lineman as a senior...Played both defensive end and tackle for the Grizzlies, alongside fellow CSU signee Zach Tiedgen...Head coach was Joe Johnson...As a freshman, attended Bennett (Colo.) High School, on the plains east of Denver, then moved to Highlands Ranch and opted to concentrate on basketball; did not play football as a sophomore or junior...Lettered twice in football and four years in basketball...Was honorable mention all-conference in basketball as a junior...Served as a basketball captain for ThunderRidge...Was a three-time academic all-state selection...Also received interest from Idaho, UNLV and South Dakota.
