CSU hoops reality show earns Emmy nod

CENTENNIAL, Colo. – The Mtn. – MountainWest Sports Network – garnered five Emmy nods from the Heartland Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Science over the weekend, including a pair of recognitions with ties to Colorado State. The network made the announcement Monday.
“Season Pass: Colorado State Men’s Basketball – Episode 1” – the acclaimed reality show featuring Head Coach Tim Miles and the CSU Rams hoops program - took home the top billing in the category of Program Series - Sports. The third season chronicled the Rams throughout the 2010-11 campaign, culminating in a 19-win season, and a second consecutive trip to the postseason.
The Mtn.’s Steve Hurlbut (Executive Producer), Frank Martin (Producer), Adrian Cruz (Editor) and Garrison Schott (Editor) were recognized for their work.
“Season Pass,” beat out a pair of baseball themed nominees: “Rockies All Access: Todd Helton” and “FSN Rocky Mountain: Pre-Game Report: Cooperstown.”
In addition the “Season Pass,” the The Mtn. also received recognition in the category of Sports Promotion for its “CU vs. CSU Mascots” spot.
In all, The Mtn. received nine nominations and took home five total awards.
