Opening tip

  • Colorado State returns home to Fort Collins for a quick turnaround leading up to a Tuesday game against Boise State. 
  • Tipoff between the Rams and Broncos is set for 7 p.m. MT at Moby Arena. 
  • The game will air across the Colorado State Radio Network, including flagship 105.5 FM ESPN, with Gary Miller and Brian Roth calling the action. 
  • The matchup will also be streamed live as an ESPN3.com exclusive with Ari Wolfe (play-by-play) and Blaine Fowler (color). 
  • The game marks the 12th in the series between the Rams and Broncos. CSU holds a 7-4 edge overall, including a 6-0 mark in games played in Fort Collins. 
  • The contest between CSU and Boise State will be the only tilt of the season between the programs under the new scheduling format adopted by the Mountain West for the 2013-14 season.

About Boise State

  • Boise State enters Tuesday's in sixth place in the Mountain West standings with an overall record of 16-9 and a 6-6 mark in league play. 
  • The Broncos, in their third year as a member of the MW, are coming off of an idle date after earning a 71-70 home victory over New Mexico (Feb. 12) to snap a three-game losing streak at UNLV (73-69), vs. San Diego State (67-65) and at Utah State (76-70). 
  • The Broncos are 3-5 on the road in 2013-14, with a 1-4 mark in MW action away from Taco Bell Arena. 
  • Three players average double-figures scoring on the season for Boise State, led by junior guard Anthony Drmic at 17.2 points per game. Junior guard Derrick Marks ranks second at 15.8 points per game, and senior forward Ryan Watkins ranks third averaging 11.0 points per contest. 
  • Watkins also ranks as one of the best rebounders in the nation, pulling down 10.6 rebounds per game, and leading the nation in offensive rebounds per game (5.0). 
  • Overall, the Broncos rank as the No. 1 scoring offense in the MW at 76.8 points per game, but that number dips to 70.8 points per game (3rd in the MW) in conference games. 
  • BSU also ranks as the No. 2 three-point shooting team in the league, hitting 38.3 percent from long and knocking down 7.8 three-pointers per contest. 
  • Head coach Leon Rice is in his fourth year at the helm of the Boise State program, where he has led the Broncos to a 72-50 record.

Series vs. Boise State

  • Saturday’s game between the Rams and the Broncos marks the 12th in the series between the programs, dating back to the first meeting - a 96-65 CSU win - during the 1974-75 season. 
  • Colorado State leads the all-time series 7-4. 
  • The Rams are 6-0 in home games all-time against Boise State.
  • Since the Broncos joined the Mountain West in 2011-12, the programs have split four meetings, each winning twice on their home court.

A win over Boise State will...

  • Move Head Coach Larry Eustachy’s record to 41-21 at Colorado State and 443-279 overall.
  • Push the Rams’ record to 15-12 overall, 6-8 in the MW.
  • Improve the Rams’ record vs. Boise State to 8-4.
  • Give the Rams' a 7-0 record all-time in home games against Boise State. 
  • Improve the Rams' home record to 13-5 in 2012-13 with two home games left in the regular season. 
  • Push the Rams streak of home games without consecutive losses to 64 games, dating back to February of 2010 when the team lost back-to-back road games vs. No. 16 BYU (92-70) and No. 10 New Mexico (72-66).

Eustachy vs. Boise State

  • CSU Head coach Larry Eustachy is 10-6 in his 23-year coaching career against Boise State. 
  • Eustachy first faced the Broncos during his tenure at Idaho, leading the Vandals to a 5-3 record vs. BSU.
  • As the head coach at Utah State, Eustachy posted a 4-2 mark against the Broncos. 
  • Since taking over the CSU program, Eustachy is 1-1 against the Broncos, splitting the home-and-home series in 2012-13. 
  • Eustachy is 7-1 all-time in home games against Boise State.

  • The tip time for the Rams' Tuesday home game vs. Boise State has shifted times. The Rams and Broncos will now tip at 7 p.m. MT and will be streamed live on ESPN3.com.

Looking ahead

  • Colorado State hosts the first leg of the 2014 Border War against arch-rival Wyoming on Saturday afternoon. 
  • Tipoff between the Rams and Cowboys is set for 2 p.m. MT at Moby Arena. 
  • The game will air across the Colorado State Radio Network, including flagship 105.5 FM ESPN, with Gary Miller and Brian Roth calling the action. 
  • The matchup will also be broadcast live on ROOT Sports with Jerry Schemmel (play-by-play) and Dave Bollwinkel (color). 
  • The game marks the 220th in the series between the Rams and Cowboys. Colorado State trails, 129-90 overall, but the Rams have won three straight and seven of 10 since the 2009-10 season. 
  • The matchup vs. the Cowboys is the Rams' annual "Orange Out" of Moby Arena where the team will don the school's original colors of pumpkin (orange) and alfalfa (green) as a nod to it's heritage as Colorado A&M.
