Rams quick hits
• The Colorado State men's basketball team enters Saturday's game at TCU coming off of a 67-49 victory over in-state rival Air Force.
• The Rams' victory over the Falcons improved CSU's record to 11-1 at Moby Arena and extended the team's home-court win streak to 10 consecutive games.
• Colorado State juniors Dorian Green and Greg Smith are among an elite group of 10 players in the Mountain West to rank on the league's top-20 charts in both scoring and rebounding this season. Green, the shortest player on that list at 6-2, is sixth in scoring (13.5 ppg) and 20th in rebounding (3.8 rpg). Smith is 18th in scoring (10.3 ppg) and ninth in rebounding (4.9 rpg).
• Entering Saturday's game at TCU, the CSU men's basketball team ranks among the most efficient offensive teams in the country. The Rams lead the Mountain West in field-goal percentage (.480), three-point percentage (.405) and free-throw percentage (.771).
• Colorado State has been excellent this season in close games, posting a 7-1 mark in contests decided by 10 or fewer points, with narrow victories over Montana, UTSA, Manhattan, Colorado, UTEP, Denver and in the Rams' first matchup of the season vs. TCU. The Rams' lone loss in a game decided by 10 or fewer points came at Northern Iowa.
• The Rams' next victory will give CSU a third-consecutive season of 16 or more wins, the first time the program has won at least 16 games in back-to-back-to-back season since a six-year stretch from 1994-95 to 1999-2000.
• A 16th victory will guarantee the Rams' a second-consecutive winning campaign for the first time under fifth-year Head Coach Tim Miles

About TCU
• TCU enters Saturday's contest with a 13-10 overall record and a 3-4 mark in MW play to sit just behind CSU and Wyoming in sixth-place in the league standings.
• The Horned Frogs were the only MW team to compete this week, stepping out of conference for a matchup with the rival SMU Mustangs, who the Rams defeated on a neutral floor earlier this season as part of the Dick's Sporting Goods NIT Season Tip-Off.  SMU downed the Frogs 68-62.
• The Frogs have now lost three of their last four, all road games, but picked up a 58-52 victory over Wyoming in their last home contest.  Overall, the Frogs are 10-2 at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum this season, including a 3-0 mark in MW action.
• Head coach Jim Christian is 51-67 in his fourth season at TCU, and boasts a career record of 189-125 in 10 seasons at Kent State and TCU.
• The Horned Frogs are led by senior guard Hank Thorns who paces the team in minutes per game (33.13), scoring (12.8 ppg.), three-pointers (46) and assists (105).  Thorns is tied for ninth in the MW in scoring and ranks third in assists per game.
• Senior guard J.R. Cadot paces the team and ranks tied for fourth in the Mountain West in rebounding (6.5 per game), 19th in the league in scoring (10.2 ppg).
• As a team, the Horned Frogs rank sixth in the MW in scoring (70.3), and seventh in scoring defense (69.4).
• TCU is last in the league in field-goal percentage (.437), a category led by CSU (.480), but the Frogs are second in the league (51st  nationally) in turnover margin (+2.35).

Series vs. TCU
• Saturday's matchup between the Rams and Horned Frogs marks the 21st in the series between the two programs.
• The first meeting in the series came during the 1971-72 season and resulted in a 109-78 CSU victory.
• The all-time series is tied, 10-10.
• In 14 matchups since TCU joined the Mountain West in 2005-06, CSU holds a 9-5 mark.
• TCU holds the advantage in Fort Worth, 7-2, but the Rams won the latest installment at the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum last year (69-55).
• Colorado State won the first matchup this season, 95-89, in double overtime on Jan. 14 at Moby Arena, and CSU has won five of the last six meetings between the two schools, with the lone loss coming on the road in 2009-10.
• Head Coach Tim Miles is 5-4 vs. TCU in his fifth seasons at CSU.

A win over TCU will...
• Move the Rams to 16-7 overall and 5-3 in the Mountain West.
• Give the Rams their first conference road win of the season, snapping a six-game road losing streak against league opponents that dates back to the end of the 2010-11 season.
• Move Colorado State's road record to 3-6, and give CSU its first overall road win since Dec. 28 at UTEP en route to the tournament championship at the Bank of the West Don Haskins Sun Bowl Invitational.
• Give the Rams a third-consecutive season of 16 or more wins, the first time the program has won at least 16 games in back-to-back-to-back season since a six-year stretch from 1994-95 to 1999-2000.
• Give the Rams an 11-10 lead in the all-time series with TCU.
• Mark two consecutive road wins and three straight overall for the Rams against the Horned Frogs.

Milestone watch: Entering TCU game...
Pierce Hornung: closing in on 100-career steals with 96 to his credit, seven away from matching Eric Friehauf (1988-90) for 10th in program history (103).  Also needs just five points to reach 400 for his career at Colorado State.
Wes Eikmeier: needs only 17 points for 700 at the DI level, including 75 points scored as a freshman at Iowa State.  Is also on the verge of 100-career three-pointers at the DI level with 93 total treys to his credit at CSU (73) and Iowa State (20).
Jesse Carr: closing in on milestones of 200 career rebounds and assists, with 177 boards and 175 helpers to his credit to date.
Dorian Green: is one point shy of 900 for his career at Colorado State.  At his current pace, and with at least eight games remaining in the Rams' schedule in 2011-12, Green could eclipse the 1,000-point mark this season, to become the 19th player in program history to accomplish the feat.
Will Bell: needs 20 points to reach 300, and 22 rebounds to reach 150 boards in two seasons in a Rams' uniform since transferring to CSU from Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colo.
