Opening tip

  • Colorado State travels to Colorado Springs, Colo., for a Saturday afternoon matchup against in-state rival Air Force. 
  • Tipoff between the Rams and Falcons is set for a 2 p.m. MT at Clune Arena.
  • The game will air across the Colorado State Radio Network, including flagship 105.5 FM ESPN, with Gary Miller and Brian Roth calling the action. 
  • The matchup will also be streamed live on the Mountain West Network, with Josh Howe (play-by-play), Jesse Kurtz and Andy Glockner (color analyst). 
  • The game marks the 103rd in the series between the Rams and Falcons.  Colorado State leads 71-31, including a 29-19 mark in games played in Colorado Springs.
  • The Rams captured the first meeting of the season, 74-68, at Moby Arena on Jan. 18. 

About Air Force

  • Air Force enters Saturday's contest with an overall record of 9-12 and a 3-7 mark to start Mountain West play.
  • The Falcons, boast conference wins vs. Utah State (73-72), at UNLV (75-68) and vs. San Jose State (77-62), but are riding a five-game losing streak into Saturday’s game against CSU. 
  • Air Force is 7-6 in Clune Arena and 2-3 at home in conference play.
  • Four players average double-figures scoring on the season for Air Force, led by sophomore guard Tre' Coggins who averages 17.4 points per game. Junior guard Max Yon, junior forward Marek Olesinski and junior forward Kamryn Williams average 13.3 points, 12.9 points and 10.1 points per game, respectively.
  • With 17.4 points per contest, Coggins ranks fifth in the Mountain West in scoring average. 
  • Junior forward Kamryn Williams ranks as the team's top rebounder at 6.4 rebounds per game. 
  • Offensively, the Falcons rank third in the MW field-goal percentage (.460) and second in three-pointers made per game (7.8). 
  • The team ranks as the ninth in the MW in scoring offense, posting 69.7 points per game, and is eighth in the league in scoring defense, allowing 70.0 per contest. 
  • Head Coach Dave Pilipovich, who is in his second full season with the Falcons after taking over midway through the 2011-12 campaign, owns a 29-32 record at the school.
  • Pilipovich’s son Kyle is a student manager with the Rams.

Series vs. Air Force

  • Saturday's game between the Rams and the Falcons marks the 103rd in the series, dating back to the first meeting - a 70-62 home win for Air Force - during the 1956-57 season. 
  • Colorado State leads the series, 71-31, all-time and is 17-14 against the Falcons as members of the Mountain West. 
  • The two programs have competed as conference rivals every year since 1980-81, and have played at least once each season since the 1960-61 campaign. 
  • Colorado State is 29-19 all-time against the Falcons in games played in Colorado Springs. 
  • The Rams have won four of their last five games at Clune Arena. 
  • Overall, the Rams have captured five consecutive wins over the Falcons, and have won 10 of 12 games since snapping an eight-game losing streak with a regular-season sweep during the 2008-09 campaign.

  • Move Head Coach Larry Eustachy's record to 40-19 at Colorado State and 442-277 overall.

Eustachy vs. Air Force

  • Colorado State head coach Larry Eustachy is 3-0 all-time in his coaching career when facing off against Air Force, all coming during his tenure with the Rams.
  • Eustachy led CSU to a sweep of the Falcons in 2012-13, capturing a 79-40 home win, and escaping with an 89-86 road win. 
  • CSU defeated Air Force earlier this year, 74-68, at Moby Arena.

  • The tip time for the Rams' Feb. 18 home game vs. Boise State has shifted times. The Rams and Broncos will now tip at 7 p.m. MT and will be streamed live on 

Looking ahead

  • Colorado State returns home to Fort Collins to play host to Mountain West newcomer Utah State on Tuesday evening. 
  • Tipoff between the Rams and Aggies is set for 7:15 p.m. MT at Moby Arena.
  • The game will air across the Colorado State Radio Network, including flagship 105.5 FM ESPN, with Gary Miller and Brian Roth calling the action. 
  • The matchup will also be televised live on CBS Sports Network, with Ari Wolfe (play-by-play), and Jarron Collins (color analyst). 
  • The game marks the 80th in the series between the Rams and Aggies.  Colorado State trails 35-44 overall, but the Rams are 27-12  vs. the Aggies in games played in Fort Collins. 
  • The Aggies edged the Rams, 57-50, in the first matchup of the season in Logan, Utah, on Jan. 15.
