Wednesday is also Academic Excellence Night, and at halftime 119 CSU student-athletes will be recognized for their strong academic performances. Athletes became eligible for being honored by being named to the Dean’s List and achieving grade-point averages of 3.0 or better in the last two consecutive terms (Spring 2010 and Fall 2010). Also, approximately 100 Poudre School District elementary school students won free tickets to the game by excelling in the classroom.
The CSU Army ROTC will also be hosting the Army Special Force Experience in the Moby Arena parking lot on Wednesday from 12-6 p.m. Various interactive activities will be included, such as parachute, vehicle and helicopter simulators, and an opportunity to learn more about the weapons involved. Special Forces soldiers and ROTC cadets will be available to speak with fans. For more information about these services, fans can call 970/491-3214.
Shane Co. is the game sponsor for the evening, and will be passing out free drawstring bags and koozies, while supplies last.
