CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - Stephan Gilling scored 21 points, leading Colorado State in a 76-65 victory over Chattanooga to win the Dr Pepper Classic on Saturday night.

Colorado State (10-2) led by 23 points with 12:46 left on a Stuart Creeson basket to make it 62-39.

Chattanooga (7-7) cut the Rams lead to 68-59 on a Kevin Bridgewaters layup with 2:24 in the game, capping a 20-6 run for the Mocs.

Gilling, who shot 6-of-9 from behind the arc, sank two 3-pointers to seal the win for Colorado State.

Colorado State, which shot 57.7 percent in the first half, led 77-32 at halftime.

Nicchaeus Doaks led Chattanooga with 19 points and eight rebounds. Bridgewaters added 11 points.

The Mocs' Keddric Mays, who entered the game as the nation's leading 3-point scorer, was cold, shooting only 2-for-10 field goals and two 3-pointers.

Colorado State reached the championship game by defeating Alabama State 61-56 Friday in the first round, and Chattanooga defeated Kennesaw State 83-67.
