2007-2008 (Freshman): As a freshman, played in 29 games and had two starts... Averaged 18.14 minutes per game including a career high of 27 on two occasions... Seen as a good defensive player because of his hustle... Had a career night against San Diego State (1/29), scoring a career high 18 points off the bench and collecting three assists and one steal... Shot 4-of-7 behind the arc against SDSU (1/29)... Recorded double figures in points six times... Averaged 5.3 points and 1.5 rebounds per game... Averaged 9.3 points in the final three games of the regular season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played varsity basketball all four years at Compton Centennial in Compton, Calif. ...Averaged 23 points as a senior for the Apaches and had a career average of 11.7 assists... Helped the Apaches to a CIF Division 3 state championship his freshman year, and a CIF Southern Section championship as a junior... Once hit eight three-pointers to finish with 38 points, vs. North Torrance... Was named second-team all-state and all-area his junior year, and garnered first-team all-state and all-area honors during his senior campaign... Was selected to the Adidas Superstar All-Star All-American Camp.

Also recruited by Southern California... Lists Denzel Washington as his favorite actor and the Los Angeles Lakers as his favorite professional team.
