Boise State runner Emma Bates claimed the number one spot with a time of 20:09.09. Although this race did not qualify the women's team for nationals, they still have a chance with a strong performance at the Mountain West Cross Country Championships in Colorado Springs, Colo., on Nov. 1.
"We're just going to keep working hard in order to get it all to come together for the next conference meet," Coach Siemers remarked.
The men's team stayed in Fort Collins to train for the upcoming conference meet on Nov. 1.
