FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The U.S.Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced Wednesday that Colorado State's men’s and women's cross country programs have been named 2011 USTFCCCA all-academic teams.
To qualify as a USTFCCCA all-academic team, the squad must have had a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and have started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship.
CSU’s women’s team ended the year with an overall GPA of 3.27, while the men’s team finished with a 3.15 GPA.
This is the fourth time in five years that the women’s team has received the honor for its exceptional work in the classroom.
