2010 (Junior) Earned a fourth-place finish in the 2.5-mile race at the Wyoming Invitational (Sept. 3), with a time of 14.52.9...Recorded another fourth-place finish a week later in the 5,000-meter run at the CSU Invitational (Sept. 11), clocking in at 18:25.2...Came in 46th overall in the 6,000-meter race at the Roy Griak Invitational (Sept. 25), finishing in 22:05.0...Finished 76th in the 6,000-meter race at Pre-Nationals (Oct. 16), with a time of 21:28.5...Placed 12th in the 6,000-meter race at the MWC championships (Oct. 29), with a time of 22:24.0...Named to the all-MWC second team...Took 34th in the 6,000-meter race at the NCAA Mountain regional (Nov. 13), finishing in 21:38.8...Earned academic all-conference honors after finishing the season with a 3.67 GPA.

High School Lettered four times in both cross country and track while attending Greeley West High School in Greeley, Colo. ...Was named (Greeley Tribune) Athlete of the Year three times and twice was a league champion...Was named first-team all-state in cross country for 2005 and was the 2007 state champion in both the 1,600 meters and 3,200 meters...Was named cross country MVP from 2005-07 and track MVP from 2006-07...In 2006, won the Division 4A championship for cross country, and in 2007 was the 4A state champion in cross country...Holds the high school record for both the 1,600 meters (5:06) and 3,200 meters (11:11).
Personal Born Feb. 23, 1990, to Kenneth and Margaret Gerk...Has older sisters Beth (33) and Kelly (32), who competed in cross country and track at the University of Northern Colorado...Majoring in health and exercise science.
