FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State track and field program announced the addition of Jazmyn Webster to its fall lineup Wednesday.
A transfer from Chadron State College, Webster will join the Rams as a junior and compete in the jumping events.
“I’m really excited to have Jazmyn join our high jump crew,” commented assistant coach Cathleen Campbell. “We have an amazing group of women training together, and I think Jazmyn will raise the bar even higher.”
The Cheyenne, Wyo., native was a two-time All-American in the high jump while at her former school. Her personal best is 5 feet, 9.75 inches, which falls in the top five jumps in the CSU record books.
“In addition to high jump, she has a lot of potential to improve in the long and triple jump, so she may be a three-event scorer for the Rams by the time she graduates,” added Campbell. “We are thrilled to welcome Jazmyn into the Ram family.”
During her freshman year at CSC, the 5-9 Webster also played basketball, leading the team in rebounding (5.5 per game) and steals (49). After her rookie season, she decided to quit basketball to focus on her track career.
