COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Mountain West announced Colorado State junior Trevor Brown as the men's outdoor track & field Athlete of the Week Tuesday. This is Brown's third career award, and first during the 2013 outdoor season.
Brown broke his own personal, school and conference record in the men's 110-meter hurdles at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif., on Saturday, April 20. Finishing in 13.65 seconds, Brown earned second place in the event and broke the record by a full tenth of a second.
Brown's time in the event ranks first in the Mountain West and ninth in all of Division I.
He also competed in the men's 400-meter hurdles at the Mt. SAC Relays, finishing with a time of 52.15 seconds. His time is good enough for second in the Mountain West and 46th nationally.
The Rams compete at home at the Jack Christiansen Invitational beginning Thursday and lasting through Saturday.
