Track and field recap: Two CSU athletes compete at Jim Click Combined Events Shootout

TUCSON, Ariz. - Two Colorado State track and field athletes competed at the first day of the Jim Click Combined Events Shootout Thursday held on the campus of the University of Arizona.

Josh McMillin currently sits in fifth place in the men's decathlon with 3,527 points. McMillin finished sixth in the shot put, with a throw of 42 feet, 0.5 inches. He also came in seventh in the long jump, recording a distance of 21-11. Diam Warner, an unattached competitor, currently leads the field of 18 with 3,962 points.

Sophia Wagner holds a 13th-place standing in the women's heptathlon with 2,735.  Wagner's highlight event of the day came in the shot put, in which the junior placed third, with a mark of 25-09.25.  Arizona State's Samantha Henderson leads the pack with 3,450 points.

Both events resume Friday at 12 p.m. MDT.
