ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Janay DeLoach, a former CSU All-American and current volunteer track coach, earned the top spot in the long jump Sunday at the USA Track & Field Championships at the ABQ Convention Center.

DeLoach, with a jump of 22 feet, 7.25 inches, will represent the United States at the IAAF World Indoor Track & Field Championships in March in Istanbul, Turkey.

The California native hit the mark twice on her first and third attempts. She jumped one inch further than her nearest competitor, Brittney Reese.

DeLoach qualified for the event last year, finishing sixth at last year’s IAAF World Championships in South Korea.
