“We had some good stuff happen,” said Assistant Coach Karim Abdel Wahab. “It was an overall good day, especially in the hurdles.”
Thomas, a freshman from Texarkana, Tex., took home first in the 60-meter dash, clocking in at 7.69 seconds.
For the second consecutive weekend, Brown ran a 7.86 second time in the 60-meter hurdles in his first-place effort. Kelby Dias finished in second, with a time of 8.09 seconds.
Lindsey Keller set a personal record in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing in 8.57 seconds, which is currently the fourth-fastest time in the Mountain West. Kalie Kirk ran a season-best time of 8.68 seconds and Stephanie Gerber finished in 8.91 seconds in the event.
“We went to the meet as a final tune up before the conference meet,” added Wahab. “It was certainly a confidence booster.”
The Rams compete next at the Mountain West indoor championships Feb. 23-25 in Albuquerque, N.M.
