Track & field preview: Rams split squad at Husky Classic, MW AF Open

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The CSU track and field team will split up this weekend to compete in two different meets after returning home from the Husker Invitational in Lincoln, Neb., last weekend.

Assistant coaches Art Siemers and Scott Dahlberg will travel with the distance runners and hurdler Trevor Brown to Seattle, Wash., on Friday to compete in the Husky Dempsey Indoor Classic, one of the most highly competitive collegiate meets of the indoor season. The rest of the staff and athletes will head to Colorado Springs once again on Saturday for the Mountain West Air Force Open.

The Husky Classic will begin at 5:00 p.m. MT on Friday and resume on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Live results will be available at GoHuskies.com.

The MW AFA Open begins with pole vault at 9:00 a.m. Saturday. Admission to the meet at Air Force is free, and to keep up with the meets follow @CSURAMSTRACK and @AF_trackfield on Twitter.

Results will be posted following the conclusion of the final event each day on CSURams.com.
