Colorado State head coach Brian Bedard was very pleased with the Rams' performance. "I've been excited the past two or three weeks that there have been some highlights in all the event areas, and that was the case today. We had season bests or lifetime bests in the jumps and throws, and some good marks in the sprints. Across the board we had a good meet, and that's what we're looking for this time of year," he said Saturday.

"I think some of them are fighting to make the conference team," said Bedard of the athletes who have made recent progress in their events. "The best situation is if we have some hard decisions to make, and that means we have a good team."

The team next competes at the Air Force Twilight Meet next Saturday before travelling to Las Vegas for the Mountain West Outdoor Track & Field Championships from May 8-11.
