Track & Field Recap: Colorado State with a successful finish at Potts Indoor Invitational

Day 2 Results

BOULDER, Colo.-- The Colorado State track team continued to impress as they took on the second and final day of the Potts Indoor Invitational in Boulder on Saturday.

Kelby Dias took first place in the men's 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.11 Saturday afternoon at the Colorado Potts Invitational. His teammates, Trevor Brown and Sam Saccomano placed second and third, with times of 8.15 and 8.34. 

A.J. Whitaker placed third in the 60-meter race with a time of 6.90. 

Ryan Wasilawski took second place in men's long jump with a jump of 22 feet 1.75 inches, while teammates Jonathan Edmunds, Graham Gilliland, and Aaron Khoury took fourth, fifth, and sixth place consecutively with jumps of 21' 10.25", 21' 8", and 21' 7.25". 

Trey Richardson took first place in men's triple jump, jumping 46 feet four inches.  In shot put, the Rams took the four of the top five places, Tyler Schultz taking second throwing 56 feet, Ken Harriman took third throwing 52' 3.75", Alec Pott taking fourth with a 52' 0.50" throw, and Jake Schneeberger took fifth place with a throw of 50' 8.25".  Schneeberger also took first place in the men's weight throw, with a throw of 60 feet 9.25 inches. 


 

 

McKael Grayson took second place in the 60-meter race with a time of 8.09 seconds while teammate Kalie Kirk took fifth place finishing the race in 8.39 seconds. 

Cate Brus took third place in the women's 400-meter race with a time of one minute and 4.56 seconds. Teammates Monica Franco and Jessica Green finished in fourth and fifth place with times of 1:04.74 and 1:04.87. 

In the 60-meter hurdles, Colorado State's Stephanie Gerber placed second with a time of nine seconds. 

Kiah Hicks took first place in the women's shot put with a throw of 48 feet and 10 inches. Teammate Elizabeth Johnson took third with a throw of 47' 1.75". 

Jenna Silwinski placed second in the women's weight throw, throwing 57 feet 8.50 inches. Teammates Jessica Sharbono and Hicks took third and fourth places, throwing 56' 3.75" and 55' 7.50" respectively. 

The Rams will now travel to Colorado Springs to compete in the AFA Combined Events Meet on Jan. 24 and 25.
