Natrona County High School
Carson was a letterwinner in both football and track while attending Natrona County High School in Casper, Wyo. He was named all-conference and all-state in football (2007) and track (2008). He holds the school record for the indoor shot put (16.52m), set in 2008. He was a football team captain in 2007 and a track team captain in 2007 and 2008.

Carson was born on June 1, 1989, to Thomas and Cammy Rowley in Powell, Wyo. He has a brother, Lucas. He is majoring in civil engineering.
