2010 (Junior): Scored in three events at the Colorado State-Pueblo Open (March 28) after finishing second in the shot put, fifth in the discus throw and third in the hammer throw...Placed eighth in the hammer throw at the Tom Benich Track and Field Classic (April 3) with a throw of 52.85 meters...Also took second in the shot put at the Tom Benich Track and Field Classic...Finished seventh in the shot put at the MWC championships (May 12)...Competed in NCAA championships (May 27) preliminaries.

2009 (Sophomore):
Ian had a good indoor season as he scored in two meets. He had a first-place finish in the shot put (16.44m) early in the season at the Don Barrett Air Force Duals (Jan. 31). He followed that up by scoring in the shot put with a seventh-place finish (25.73m) at the Air Force Collegiate Invitational (Feb. 13). He finished the season with a score in the shot put as he finished sixth (15.67m) at the MWC indoor championships (Feb. 26). During the outdoor season, Ian scored several times in the shot put. He started the season with a first-place finish in the shot put (15.62m) at the Potts Invitational (March 21). He had a second-place finish in the shot put (15.88m) at the Rob Upton Invitational (Mar. 28). He scored in the shot put with a fourth-place finish (15.85m) at the Jack Christiansen Invitational (April 24). He ended his season with a score in the shot put, finishing third (16.64m) at the MWC championships.

2008 (Freshman): Ian had a very successful season in the shot put with two scores during the indoor season and three more during the outdoor season. He finished in sixth place (15.88m) at the Air Force Invitational (Feb. 1) and followed that with an eighth-place finish (15.06m) at the MWC indoor championships (Feb. 28). His outdoor season consisted of a fourth-place finish (14.82m) at the Jack Christiansen Invitational (April 25), a fifth-place finish (14.70m) at the Front Range Championships (May 3), and culminated with a fourth-place finish (15.97m) at the MWC outdoor championships (May 14), which set a personal outdoor best.

High School: Ian earned varsity letters in both track and football while attending Faith Christian High School in Arvada, Colo.

Personal: Ian was born Nov. 25, 1988, to Kris and Chrissie Lettow in San Diego, Calif. He has a sister, Adrienne. He is majoring in business administration.
