Rams add 13 to 2014-15 roster

CSU welcomes eight women, five men

Born in West Africa, Isatu Fofanah is a Canadian citizen and has competed for Canada. She will be transferring from Northern Arizona where she spent her freshman year breaking the indoor 60 meters school record with a time of 7.36 seconds. Fofanah represented Canada in both the 2010 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore and the 2012 World Juniors in Barcelona in the 200 meters. A gold medalist, she competed in the Western Summer games in the 4x100-meter relay and the 100 meters. She was a qualifier for the 2013 World University Games in Russia and a Canada Summer Games gold medalist in the 100 meters.

Isatu's outstanding personal records are an indoor 60-meter dash in a time of 7.36 seconds, a 100m in 11.63, and a 200m in 23.77.

Coach Karim Abdel Wahab is more than excited to work with Fofanah. "Isatu has what CSU athletics is looking for in a student athlete. I see Isatu helping the Rams achieving new standards in the women's short sprints, getting the Rams some national recognition and breaking some school records."
